SAIL and Oakwood will host an Electronics Recycling Event on Wednesday July 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. outside the Oakwood Village Arts Center, 6209 Mineral Point Rd.
Resource Solutions, Corp., a local business, will assist with unloading, hauling away, and recycling your items.
Recyclable items with no charge include: keyboards, laptops, cords, modems, circuit boards, CPU's, power strips, scanners, printers, vacuums, phones, tablets, UPS, fax machines, VCR's and DVD players, stereos, networking equipment, receivers, and most small electronics.
Additionally, rechargeable batters of lithium ion and nickel metal hydride do not have a fee.
Please note that there are extra charges for certain items not listed, including televisions and monitors, microwaves, and certain batters. SAIL will not cover the extra cost for recycling these.
